Talent, color and imagination were all on display as summer wound down at Los Angeles’ City Hall! The Academy of Special Dreams offered its fifth annual showcase of artists with special needs, from August 7th through September 4th, 2012.
Visitors to City Hall saw the work of artists including Jhovana Cecena, whose “Waterfall” made viewers take a second look…graphic designer Todd Tostado, whose paintings incorporated some thought-provoking statements…art instructor Martin Vogel, who uses his wheelchair to create some of his work…and U.S. Marine Corporal Kenneth James, who invented his own artistic medium, “rip art.” Continue reading
