“1945” Could Be His Landmark

Nashville singer/songwriter Brad Mackeson takes his listeners on a journey.   And that journey is the story of his heritage.

Brad’s new debut full-length album, 1945, has an eclectic mix of influences,  including Bob Dylan, Wilco and John Lennon.   The title cut introduces Brad’s inaugural work: a “concept” album that functions on several levels.

While his songs are loosely based on the story of his grandparents’ relationship (1945 was the year they met, in England), the album also tracks the “journey” of falling in love and the stages of a relationship–good and bad.

Brad talked about creating his new album, and the creative process behind the songs on 1945.

Brad Mackeson performs at 10:00 on Friday, March 1, at Room 5 in Los Angeles.
